Jason Bige Burnett | Textiles Portfolio

Jason Bige Burnett graduated from Western Kentucky University with a BFA in ceramics and BA’s in both printmaking and graphic design. Burnett continued his education and studies as a core fellowship student at Penland School of Crafts (NC), and as an Artist-In-Residence at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts (TN). Since then he has exhibited nationally, been featured in Ceramics MonthlyAmerican Craft Magazine, and regional magazines Carolina Home + Garden and WNC Magazine. Jason's work is featured in 500 Prints on Clay (Lark Books) and he's the author of Graphic Clay: Ceramic Surfaces and Printed Image Transfer Techniques (Lark Books, 2015). Burnett is currently a long term resident artist at the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts in Helena, MT.

The textile portfolio below reflects new works beginning in 2020. 
A continued focus and appreciation for surface design and screen printing Burnett created "Big-E Boy" Textiles -- an extension of his interest in color, pattern, and function from ceramics crossing over into quilts, homegoods, and more.
